4th Of July Parade Winners Get Recognition At Village Meeting

MOKENA, IL — It was the Fourth of July all over again at the Village of Mokena Board of Trustees meeting July 26. The Mokena Chamber of Commerce recognized winners in eight categories.

The following is a list of the categories and winners:

• Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Melissa Fedora's Choice: Crafted Bottle & Tap Room
• Judge #1's Choice: Mokena Garden Walk
• Judge #2's Choice: Helping Hands Children's Therapy Services, Inc.
• Judge #3's Choice: Jung's Champion Taekwondo
• Most Creative: Heritage Baptist Church
• Best In Keeping With the Theme (An "Essential" Thank you): Mokena Lions Club
• Best Professional Float: Old Plank Trail Community Bank
• Best Entry: Resale for Rescues/N.A.W.S.

Judges for the parade were Matt Galik, Mokena historian; Meghna Patel, Aesthetica Day Spa; and Kelly Quigly, Aurelio's Pizza in Mokena.
