Alfie’s Poochie Playlot Moving to Bigger Location

The Mokena dog care business will be expanding into a larger space just south of its current location.

Rosemary Cotter is looking to continue running her dog care business in Mokena.

The owner of Alfie’s Poochie Playlot, at 19418 97th Ave., is moving into a larger space further south on the same street.

The new building will begin with 5,500 square feet dedicated for the business, and will have room for expanding another 5,000 square feet. There will be 30 suites for overnight boarding and a wall to keep noise out at the new location at 19635 97th Ave.

Alfie’s employs eight staff members, and offers 24-hour care for the animals. Owners can check in on their pets via video. The additional 5,000 square feet will include parking and outdoor play areas for the animals.

Alfie’s has been in Mokena since 2007, operating under the philosophy that pet day care should have the same standard as people day care.
