MOKENA, IL — A building that housed a dentist office at 11005 Front St. partially collapsed on Monday. No one was injured as a result of the collapse, said Mokena Police Chief John Keating.

Keating said that a permit for work on the building was filed with the Village for Bruno's Tuckpointing based in Hazel Crest, and workers for the contractor had just left the site before the partial collapse. He said Mokena police and Mokena Fire Protection District responded to the scene and secured the area.

Structural engineers will determine the safety of the building before allowing work to continue, Keating said.
