Culvert Work Scheduled Along Old Plank Road Trail
Work to replace a section of culvert along the Old Plank Road Trail is expected to begin Oct. 13.
Work to replace a section of culvert along the Old Plank Road Trail is expected to begin on Tuesday, October 13. A short section of trail will be closed from Owens Road/116th Avenue east to Park Ridge Park at the corner of Coach and Coneflower drives in Mokena.
Trail users will be able to detour around the work by taking Coach Drive at the Prairie Ridge subdivision and following the path. Coach Drive runs parallel to the Old Plank Road Trail and trail users can utilize this route to detour back onto the trail, taking the path at Owens Road on the west or at Coneflower Drive at Park Ridge Park on the east.

The culvert replacement work is expected to be completed within a week. However, weather and other factors could impact this timeline. Signs will be posted at the worksite to alert trail users.
