What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have spent over two decades as a dedicated high school educator, where fostering civic responsibility and community engagement has been at the heart of my work. I earned certification in Engaging Youth for Positive Change to better equip myself to support and empower young people in our community.

Locally, I’ve held leadership roles in the Arbury Hills Parent Organization—serving as Fundraiser Coordinator, Treasurer, and Vice President—actively supporting Mokena families until the school’s closing in 2024. I’ve also coached student teams to state championships, helping develop strong and passionate young leaders. It's essential that Mokena takes proactive measures to prevent crime and ensure our residents feel secure. I believe in ensuring our police force is well-equipped and supported to respond to crime in a fair and effective manner. Crime prevention efforts, including neighborhood programs, increased police presence in high-risk areas, and a focus on community engagement are all important in making sure our town remains a safe an welcoming place for all.

My goal is to ensure that any development in the village is sustainable, environmentally responsible and benefits both new and existing residents.
