Farm & Barn Fest Returns Saturday

The event features a flea market, food and beverages, concerts, and more.

MOKENA, IL — Mokena Community Park District's annual Farm & Barn Fest returns to Yunker Park, 10824 W. LaPorte Road in Mokena, from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday.

The all-day fest will start with an outdoor flea market in the Yunker Park parking lot from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is free for the flea market.

Will County Health Department will be offering both Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. As an added incentive, it will be giving away two free tickets to Six Flags Great America to those who receive a vaccination, while supplies last.

Activities for children are planned throughout the day, including free contests and demonstrations.

At 5 p.m. the children's activities are over, but the evening will just be getting started with a concert by C.K. and the Gray, followed by The Ethan Bell Band at 8 p.m.

Beverages will be available from the District. Water, Miller Lite, Coors Lite and White Claws will be sold via tickets purchased at the park district tent. Each ticket is $1. Water is one ticket; Coors Lite and Miller Lite are three tickets; and White Claw is four tickets.

Food vendors scheduled for the fest include Genoas Italian Concessions, Korny Bob's Roasted Corn and RS Concessions.
