Update: Visitation, Funeral Plans For Former Mokena Mayor
Ronald Grotovsky served two terms as a Village trustee and two terms as mayor.
MOKENA, IL — The Village of Mokena announced through a new release Saturday that former-mayor Ronald J. Grotovsky died Aug. 5 at the age 77.
Grotovsky served two terms as a Village of Mokena Trustee, from 1981-1985 and again from 1987-1989. He was elected to two terms as mayor; in 1989 and again in 1993.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Road in Mokena. The funeral is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. A Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115th Ave. in Mokena. Interment is private.
