Happy Father’s Day From Carol Smurawski

In celebration of Father's Day on Sunday June 17, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their father and let us deliver it. This is Carol Smurawski's letter to her dad:

Dear Dad,

I want to personally thank you for all your love and dedication to family. To this day I feel like your "little princess." You still jump up and make me my favorite breakfast whenever I pop in. You are quick to call whenever you make my favorite spaghetti and have dinner with my favorite glass of wine all ready.

I have enjoyed sharing hobbies with you. You have won our tomato-growing competition for several years now, but, there is always this year. I love sharing recipes and the fact that you took on cooking later in life. I think cooking is best when a meal is prepared with love.

I thank you in person every time I see you for your thoughtful nature. I want to upgrade that thank you and give you five minutes of fame with a published thank you. (It also doesn't hurt to mention that you are famously handsome.) But remember, you will always be a famously great dad in the eyes of your "little princess."
