Love Stinks, So Does Your Ex: Name A NAWS Litterbox After Them

NAWS Humane Society in Mokena has a poop-osition for you—get the kind of closure you never knew you needed.

MOKENA, IL — Revenge can be sweet, or maybe—and some might say, even better—a bit smelly.

NAWS Humane Society of Mokena is giving supporters a chance to take a symbolic swing at an ex: for a $10 donation, they'll write his or her name on one of their shelter's litterboxes.

"Get the closure you deserve and leave justice in the capable hands of the NAWS shelter cats," staff wrote. "For a $10 donation, we will write the name of your ex on a litterbox so that our cats can do the dirty work for you."

If you don't have an ex who lives rent-free in your brain (lucky you), they have some other ideas.

"No worries! We will write any name for you, everyone has an arch nemesis," staff wrote. "Becky from 3rd grade who stuck gum in your hair during recess? She deserves a cat turd. Sally from high school who stole your favorite sweater and never gave it back? Serve her up a mean cat pie."
