Mission Meals Plans Dinner & Live Entertainment April 8 in Mokena
Mission Meals will host a dinner at 4:30 pm on April 8, 2025, at St. John United Church of Christ, located at 11100 2nd Street in Mokena.
Mission Meals will host a community dinner with live entertainment at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at St. John United Church of Christ Community Center, located at 11100 2nd Street in Mokena.
In addition to the dinner catered by EggCetera Café, Mission Meals will distribute grocery bags and gift cards to those in need, according to Tammy Leonard, founder of One Love Global Wellness Foundation, the nonprofit organization under which Mission Meals operates.
The April 8 event will also include line dancing lessons from champion professional dancers Silviu Turcan and Yulia Nam.

The award-winning husband-and-wife team is excited to share their love of dance with Mission Meals participants and provide a fun, uplifting activity during the dinner event.
Silviu and Yulia are World DanceSport Federation American Rhythm champions and two-time National Dance Council of America Rising Star silver medalists. Both are professional dance instructors at My Dance Hub in Oak Brook and Naperville, which offers a full complement of Ballroom, American Rhythm, Latin, and Social dancing lessons.

To make a reservation for the Mission Meals April event, please call (708) 479-6613. Event runs from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (the last meal served at 6:00 p.m.)
Since its founding in 2011, of One Love Global Wellness Foundation has supported over 15,806 people and has distributed more than 22,303 pounds of food. One Love Global Wellness Foundation was established to address food insecurity in Will County, where approximately 47,130 people, including 9.7% of children, struggle with reliable access to nutritious food.
Through the Mission Meals program, One Love Global Wellness Foundation and EggCetera Café owners Dino and Gail Bastas have provided vital support to local families, seniors, veterans and individuals in need.
The Mission Meals program is funded entirely by donations from the local community.
