Mokena JC Penney Hit In Smash-And-Grab: Police Chief

MOKENA, IL — Mokena police are investigating a smash-and-grab burglary at JC Penney, 11325 W Lincoln Hwy.

Officers responded to an alarm call at approximately 3:22 a.m. Tuesday, and, upon arriving on-scene, noted the front doors shattered. The jewelry cases appear to have been targeted, said Mokena Police Chief Brian Benton. The doors were seen still boarded up later Tuesday.
