Mokena Photographer, No-Kill Shelter Partner To Produce Pet Calendar
Photographer Jean Lachat and NAWS are seeking sponsorships and photos of local dogs and cats that will be featured in the charity calendar.
MOKENA, IL — A local no-kill pet shelter is partnering with a Mokena photographer to create a calendar featuring photos of a collection of area pets, but the shelter needs the help of local residents to contribute pictures of their furry friends.
NAWS announced on Tuesday that it will be working with Mokena photographer Jean Lachat on the charity calendar, which will be the first of its kind for the local shelter. The calendar will feature 12 local pets for the 2024 calendar, which will be sold for anywhere from $20 to $25.
The shelter is moving fast and is giving local residents until Nov. 15 to submit photos of their dog or cat for consideration for use in the calendar. Residents will be asked to sponsor the month their pet is featured in the calendar, which will be sold to raise more money for NAWS.
