Mokena Watering Restrictions in Place
Watering restrictions to be enforced through the spring and summer seasons.

All Village of Mokena residents are reminded that seasonal watering restrictions are now in effect and will remain in effect throughout the summer season.
The Village of Mokena is currently operating under standard summer GREEN ZONE restrictions, which means that outdoor lawn watering is allowed on an odd/even basis from 7-11 a.m. and from 7-11 p.m. On odd-numbered days of the month, residents with odd-numbered addresses may water their lawns, and on even-numbered days of the month, residents with even-numbered addresses may water their lawns, Kirk Zoellner, assistant village administrator.
"Special exemptions to the watering restrictions are allowed for residents establishing new lawns." To be eligible for the exemptions, however, residents must first obtain a permit from the Village's Community Development Department.
