No Injuries Following Mokena Garage Fire Tuesday: Officials

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Fire Protection District on Tuesday responded to a fire in the 13000 block of 191st Street. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, according to Mokena FPD Chief Joseph Cirelli.

Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 9:35 p.m. for a report of fire in a detached garage at the residence, Cirelli said. The fire was contained to the garage area, and no damage to the two-story home was reported.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, but Cirelli said it appeared to be accidental.
