No Tickets Issued In Crash Involving Mokena Community Service Officer

The Will County Sheriff's Office investigated Monday's crash and found that it could not determine who was at fault for the crash.

MOKENA, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office was not able to determine who was at fault for a crash Monday involving a Mokena Community Service Officer and a 16-year-old female, according to WCSO.

The crash happened a little after 6 p.m. Monday at the intersection of U.S. Route 30 and Owens Road. Mokena Community Service Officer Luke Frazier, 18, was traveling northbound on Owens Road when the public service vehicle he was driving collided in the intersection with a Jeep Wrangler that was headed westbound on Rte. 30, according to the WCSO investigation's report.

The Jeep, driven by the 16-year-old female, had heavy damage on the driver's side and ended up rolling over on its side. The public service vehicle driven by Frazier had heavy front end damage along its bumper, officials said.

Neither the 16-year-old nor Frazier had any serious injuries, though Frazier was taken to a hospital with an injury to his hand as a precaution, according to WCSO.

The investigation into the crash has been concluded, according to WCSO.
