Juan Jose Marquez Jr. was a great man, strong in character, generous in spirit, and deeply devoted to the people he loved. He was married to his beloved wife, Betty, for 38 years, and their love was steady, loyal, and enduring. Even after her passing in 2020, his love for her remained at the center of his life and his heart.

Juan cherished his family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was proud of each of them, supported them in every way he could, and celebrated every milestone, big or small. He gave his love freely and fully.

He was passionate in his beliefs and was always ready for a spirited conversation or a good debate, often with a smile, a quick wit, and sometimes a mischievous spark in his eye. Even when holding firm to his point, he brought humor, warmth, and a sense of connection to every exchange. It was part of his charm.

Juan never wanted to be a burden to anyone, yet he was always there to help others, especially when he had the least to give. He was unselfish, loyal, and gave from the heart without hesitation. His generosity was quiet, humble, and deeply felt by those lucky enough to receive it.

A proud United States Marine, Juan served his country during the Vietnam War with courage and honor. After his military service, he worked as a machine operator for over 35 years. His dedication and work ethic allowed him to retire early with dignity, having given his all to his craft, his company, and his coworkers as their union Stuart.

Juan will be truly missed, never forgotten, and always celebrated. His love, his humor, his loyalty, and his strength will live on in all of us who knew him. His legacy is not only in the life he lived, but in the love he shared.

Juan is survived by his children, Kelly (Tim) Gardner, and Bob (Adriana) Jacobs; grandchildren, Johnathon, Luis (Amanda), Jasmine, Brittany, Marissa, and Brandon; great grandchildren, Brayden, Scarlett, Derek, Elizabeth, Demi, Jordan, and Kacie; sisters, Linda (Oscar) Mascorro, and Consuelo Marquez; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty; son, Mark; brothers, Sid Marquez and Eddie Marquez; and sister, Maria Sanchez
