Parade Of Lights, Tree Lighting To Kick Off Holiday Season In Mokena
The parade steps off at 5 p.m. Saturday. Don't miss food trucks before and after, and visit local businesses for other holiday fun.

MOKENA, IL — Mokena residents are invited to kick off the holiday season with a parade of lights, food trucks and a community tree lighting Saturday, Nov. 22.
The parade steps off at 5 p.m., with food trucks at the Mokena Metra station parking lot from 3 to 7 p.m. Food trucks participating include:
- Joey’s
- Ricobene’s
- Auntie Anne’s
- Tom’s Coffee

- Little Al’s: Balloon artist and hot chocolate starting at 3:30 p.m.
- Midland States Bank: Hot Chocolate from 4 to 5 p.m.
- HealthSource of Downtown Mokena: Hot chocolate from 4 to 5 p.m.
- NAWS Retails Resale Shop: Open until 6 p.m. that day.
- Chamber of Commerce Office: Various giveaways from 4 to 5 p.m.
- Oberweis: Egg Nog and coupons at Tree Lighting.
The parade travels from Willowcrest Lane south on Wolf Road, to east on Front Street, ending around Division Street.
Immediately following the parade is the Village tree lighting ceremony at the giant Evergreen at the corner of Front and Mokena streets.
