1 Killed In Single-Car Rollover Crash, Francis Road Closed: Mokena PD
Mokena police were asking drivers to avoid a portion of Francis Road early Wednesday.
MOKENA, IL — One person was killed early Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Francis Road, police said.
Mokena police were called to the scene of the crash just before 3 a.m. The victim's identity is being withheld pending an autopsy, with Mokena police only disclosing the victim was male. Police and accident reconstructionists remained on the scene early Wednesday morning, with portions of Francis Road closed during the investigation, said Mokena Police Chief Brian Benton. The road was reopened in both directions as of 10 a.m.
Additional information on the accident was not immediately available, but Benton said speed is suspected to be a factor.
