Portion Of OPRT In Joliet To Close Wednesday

A 50-yard section of Old Plank Road Trail in Joliet will be closed Wednesday, December 16.

A contractor will be removing trees in an area about three-quarters of a mile east of the path's Washington Street Access to clear the way for a drainage ditch, which will be installed later in the week. Signs will be posted alerting path users to the trail closure.

The tree removal work is expected to last one day, but weather and other factors could change the timeline. Updates will be posted here as necessary.
