The boutique in "The Blue House" on Wolf Rd. will celebrate this weekend, with a free gift with purchase and sweet treats.

MOKENA, IL — A south suburban staple in dressing for special occasions is ready to shine for one of its own.
Mokena's Pink Slip Boutique is celebrating its "Sweet 16"—16 years of helping people dress for their life’s best moments, with a special event this weekend.
"We are fully aware that this milestone wouldn’t be possible without our customers and our community," said owner Lauren McKeague. "Sixteen years have gone by in the blink of an eye, and we are grateful beyond words for the opportunity to dress you for your life’s best moments."

Since its opening in 2008 Pink Slip Boutique—located in Mokena's "The Blue House"—has been a staple in the special occasion market. Offering curated selections of homecoming, prom, and bridal dresses, as well as accessories, the boutique is proud to be a part of a thriving community and looks forward to expanding their collections and offerings in the future, its owner said.

The boutique will mark the anniversary with a free gift with purchase, and sweet treats for customers Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 25. The boutique runs by appointment only.

“Our team is excited to celebrate this Sweet 16 with everyone who has their homecoming or bridal appointments this weekend," McKeague said. "It’s our best and busiest time of the year and I, especially, can’t wait to commemorate this landmark with the staff who deserve all of the guts and glory of this accomplishment."
Appointments can be booked at pinkslipboutique.com. Appointment hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
