MOKENA, IL — Before the town's cutest witches and goblins take to Mokena streets in search of Halloween's sweetest bounty, it's a good idea for parents to check out what Mother Nature has in store for our community's annual trick-or-treating festivities.
Trick-or-treating in Mokena is planned from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Considering the event is just days away, there's a good chance we might luck out when it comes to the weather.
As you head out on Sunday evening, expect a high of 52 and a low of 31 with only a 6 percent chance of rain, according to AccuWeather.

If you want a bit more reassurance on the trick-or-treating forecast, the National Weather Service much of the same, with a predicted high of 55 and a low of 34 with sunny and mostly clear skies.
Either way, it should be a bit chilly at night, so make sure to bundle up under the costume.
