Village Hosting Veterans Day Ceremonies Thursday

NEW LENOX, IL — With rain in the forecast for Thursday, the Village of New Lenox is letting residents know that the Veterans Day ceremonies will continue as planned, rain or shine, according to Village Officials.

Veterans Day ceremonies are scheduled to take place in The Village Commons starting at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Village teamed up with the Will County Veterans Assistance Commission to plan the activities, including a keynote presentation by former Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn Thursday, and Portraits of a Soldier through Friday at the Village Hall, according to Village officials.

Also, the Vietnam Moving Wall will be on display at the American Legion Post 1977, 14414 W. Ford Drive in New Lenox, through 11 a.m. Sunday.
