Village Of Mokena: Contract Awarded For Street Maintenance Program
The Mokena Village Board approved a contract earlier this month in the amount of $1,582,172.77 with Austin Tyler Construction.

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Village Board approved a contract at its Aug. 8 meeting in the amount of $1,582,172.77 with Austin Tyler Construction of Elwood to complete work included in the Village’s fiscal year 2023 street maintenance program.
Mokena’s annual street maintenance program consists of milling, patching, longitudinal joint sealing, resurfacing and ancillary repairs at various locations across the Mokena community.
Focus of this year’s program will be The Oaks subdivision, Willow Lane from 88th Avenue east to the boundary of unincorporated Arbury Hills, and the Corporate Corridors subdivision, including Darvin Drive, portions of 88th Avenue, and 192nd Street, covering approximately 2.7 miles of streets and roadways.

Austin Tyler outbid two other qualified firms to receive Village staff’s recommendation for the contract.
In conjunction with the contract, the Board additionally approved an agreement in an amount not to exceed $35,000 with Mokena-based engineering consulting firm Baxter & Woodman to provide paving inspection and coordination services for the program.
