Village Of Mokena Offering Annual Clean-Up Day
Residents are encouraged to work together for three hours and participate in the effort to spruce up the Mokena community on April 22.
MOKENA, IL — The Village of Mokena is hosting an event when community members can help spruce up their surroundings by working together in the village’s annual clean-up day, the village announced on Friday.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. until noon on April 22 when local residents can be part of an effort to make for a cleaner environment. Participants are asked to wear clothes that they can work in and bring a pair of work gloves.
The Department of Public Works will be on hand to deliver participants to different areas of the village that will be part of the clean-up effort. Lunch will be served immediately after the clean-up effort at the Village Hall.

Students who participate in the event are eligible for community service hours.
