Village Urges Residents To Complete 2020 Census

Press release from the Village of Mokena:

Posted on Wednesday August 12, 2020 U.S. Census Bureau enumerators are currently canvassing the community as part of Census 2020’s final push, and your cooperation is critical and essential.

Enumerators may need to speak with you for one of the following reasons:

1. You returned a Census questionnaire earlier, but the Census Bureau needs to clarify one or more details of your response, or

2. You have not yet participated in the Census

For your safety and security, you can rest assured that any enumerator that comes to your door will be wearing a protective face covering and displaying an official U.S. Census Bureau identification badge.

Along with determining legislative representation, the Census is the only way to ensure Mokena gets its fair share of many of the federal resources our community is entitled to by law.

So don’t take Mokena’s future for granted…open the door!
