MOKENA, IL — Mother Nature is throwing some seriously cold weather Mokena's way to start the new year. Below is a list of where Mokena residents can go should they need to stay warm, according to information provided by the Will County Emergency Management Agency.

According to the latest weather predictions on AccuWeather, hypothermia is likely without protective clothing Wednesday evening through late Friday night. The high for Monday is predicted to be only 22 degrees; a low of 24 and a high of 37 on Tuesday; Wednesday's high is 24 with a low of 6; Thursday looks even colder with a high of just 16 and a low of -1, and an 83 percent chance of snow; and Friday could be brutally cold, with a high of 9 and a low of 2.
