The lawsuit, which was filed Thursday, Feb. 19, in Cook County Circuit Court, stems from a November 2014 podcast that CM Punk (a.k.a. Phillip Brooks) appeared on, the report stated. During that podcast, CM Punk called Amann, who works as the World Wrestling Entertainment’s official ringside doctor, lazy, as well as claimed the doctor misdiagnosed a concussion and did not treat a lump on the wrestler’s back, according to a Chicago Tribune report.

CM Punk is from Chicago, although he no longer lives in the area. Before making it big, he would wrestle in matches around the south suburbs, such as Tinley Park.

Pro wrestler Colt Cabana (a.k.a. Scott Colton), the host of The Art of Wrestling podcast that aired CM Punk’s comments, also is named in the suit, according to reports.
