Mary A. Maher is Running for Bristol Township Assessor

I am grateful for the opportunity to be your candidate for Bristol Township Assessor, and am looking forward to the election on April 9^th election. I believe that I am a specifically qualified candidate, and I am pleased to share my vision and qualifications for this elected position.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 1990.

• Real Estate Experience - Licensed Realtor

Licensed Realtor in the Kendall County area from 1990-1999

• Appraisal Experience - Certified Residential Appraiser

Residential Appraiser 1999 to present

• Certified Illinois Assessing Officer

Certified Illinois Assessing Officer 2012 to present

Born and raised in Kendall County I have watched growth and change in our community.  Being a Kendall County native affords me with an intimate and instinctual knowledge of our specific community.

I believe my background as a Certified Appraiser and Realtor combined with my education and experience in the field will lend significant richness to the quality of Township Assessor as we forge our way into the future development of the area.  It is my opinion that Bristol Township is in need of an Assessor that truly understands market value and for that need, I am uniquely qualified.

I understand as Township Assessor, my primary purpose is to accurately determine true market value, so the various taxing bodies can go about the business of collecting taxes. Furthermore, I understand the importance of market value being accurate and reliable. I also understand that accuracy and reliability is important to the tax payers of Bristol Township. Accurate assessed values of properties are the foundation of the entire process, which is essential in order to benefit both the tax payer and the community as a whole. I have dedicated my adult life to determining market value in the Kendall County area. With your support, I look forward to improving the quality of assessments, and to be an advocate of true and correct market value to bring fairness and uniformity to all taxpayers.
