Local Residents Recognized for "Character Counts"
Eight individuals/groups were awarded for their character.

The Character Counts! Coalition of Oswego and Montgomery was privileged to recognize 8 local residents for the "Award-Winning Character" at the Oswego Village Board meeting on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
Pictured from top to bottom:
Irv Collins and the Oswego Lions' Club for their work with the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative in providing hearing aid batteries to schools with Deaf/Hard of Hearing programs;
the Oswego East High School Student Council (Katelyn Sass, President) for their project which sent over 5000 letters to deployed soldiers;
Joey Cantu and Emma Farrar in the Youth category for going "above and beyond" in demonstrating the 6 pillars of good character every day at Grande Park Elementary;
Michael Penzone in the Youth category for being a great role model at Fox Chase Elementary;
Sheila Paisley in the Adult Category for her amazing contributions at Boulder Hill Elementary and in the community;
and Jack Hadsall and Kyla Hartigan in the Youth category for their unique friendship and how it displays true respect and caring to the students at Churchill Elementary and to everyone who knows them.
Our community is filled with youth, teens, adults and organizations who demonstrate great character every day. The Character Counts! Coalition is honored to be able to recognize these groups and individuals with our "Award-Winning Character" program!
