Man Throws Bottle at Vehicle, Hit with a Slew of Charges

Sunday, Sept. 22
DUI
Keith Michael Tuftee, 28, of the 4000 block of Lovers Lane, Dallas, Texas, was arrested at 1:42 a.m. at Rout 34 and Boulder Hill Pass and chared for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, failure to signal and the illegal transportation of alcohol, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies stopped Tuftee’s vehicle for several moving violations after another motorist called the vehicle into the Sheriff’s office.
Saturday, Sept. 21
Aggravated assault, resisting a peace officer, attempted criminal damage to government property, disorderly conduct, and possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis

William A. Du Mont, 40, of the 200 block of South Main Street, Montgomery, was arrested at 4 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Afton, Montgomery, and charged with aggravated assault, resisting a peace officer, attempted criminal damage to government property, disorderly conduct, and possession of drug paraphernalia, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies went to an address on Afton for a report of an intoxicated male who threw a bottle and struck a vehicle. He left the scene on foot and deputies located him at the intersection of Fernwood and Pembrooke Roads. Du Mont refused to stop for the deputy and “squared off” with the deputy. He was taken into custody for aggravated assault against the deputy and disorderly conduct for throwing a bottle at the victim’s car. While being escorted to the squad car Du Mont resisted arrest and was then observed banging his head on the rear window of the squad car. He was also charged with drug paraphernalia and cannabis possession after he was found with a cannabis grinder, metal pipe and cannabis on his person.
Warrant

Jason Edward Perez, 35, of the 0-99 block of 9th Street, Greer, South Carolina, was arrested at 9:21 p.m. in the 0-99 block of Boulder Hill Pass and charged with a failure to appear warrant for driving on a suspended license out of Kendall County, said the Sheriff’s office, after deputies responded to a property damage accident.
Thursday, Sept. 19
Hit and run
Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a hit and run that occurred at 7:20 p.m. in the 2200 block of Kennedy Road, Bristol. Someone backed into a sports utility vehicle and left the scene.
Wednesday, Sept. 18
No valid driver’s license
Humberto Flores-Lira, 45, of the 500 block of 5th Street, Aurora, was arrested at 5:17 a.m. at Route 30 and Wolf Road and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for no rear registration plate light.
Identity theft
Sheriff’s deputies took a report for identity theft that occurred at 6:07 p.m. An unauthorized charge of over $400 was placed in Texas.
Domestic battery
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported domestic battery that occurred on Sept. 14 in the 2400 block of Light Road. The victim reported they were pushed and held down. The matter is under investigation.
Tuesday, Sept. 17
Domestic battery, interfering with reporting of domestic battery
Wilson Guillen, 19, of the 100 block of Fernwood, Montgomery, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Fernwood and charged with domestic battery after deputies observed a domestic dispute occurring in the driveway of a residence, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies found that Guillen battered his girlfriend. He was also charged with the interfering of reporting of a domestic battery after an investigation revealed he prevented the victim from calling 911.
No valid driver’s license
Jason Brandon Amoah, 28, of the 400 block of Gloria Lane, Oswego, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. at Route 34 and Douglas Road and charged for driving without a valid driver’s license, said the Sheriff’s office. He was also cited for operating a motor vehicle with expired registration.
Monday, Sept. 16
Theft
Sheriff’s deputies took a report for theft that occurred between Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. and Sept. 16 at 8 a.m. in the 0-99 block of Hillstone Road, Montgomery. A maintenance room was entered without authority and an ILCO O25 milling key machine was taken.
Sunday, Sept. 15
Criminal damage to property
Sheriff’s deputies took a report for criminal damage to property that occurred at 9:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Dolores, Oswego. The victim reported a family member showed up unannounced and uninvited and caused approximately $300 worth of damage to the exterior of the residence. The suspect left the area prior to the deputies arrival.
Saturday, Sept. 14
DUI
Rickie James Benuska, 59, of the 3300 block of Somonauk Road, Sandwich, was arrested at 11:31 p.m. at River Road east of Eldamain, Bristol, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, said the Sheriff’s office. Deputies had gone to the location for a report of a motor vehicle accident, and found that Benuska had simply stopped his vehicle on the roadway: no crash took place. He was also cited for improper parking on the roadway.
