Montgomery Fest Postponed Until August 2021
The Village announced the difficult decision to not go forward with this year's Montgomery Fest due to the coronavirus pandemic.
MONTGOMERY, IL — Community members will have to wait until next year for Montgomery Fest, as Village officials decided to postpone this summer's festival until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. In a Thursday news release, the Village announced the difficult decision to not go forward with this year's Montgomery Fest, scheduled to take place Aug. 7 through 9, after spending the last two months reviewing guidance from the CDC, state officials and other sources. According to the news release, Village officials determined that holding the event "in the current climate, while ensuring the health and safety of both residents and staff, is not possible."
"This decision was not made lightly, as we know how much Montgomery Fest means to the community," the Village said, in the news release.
Next year's Montgomery Fest is scheduled for August 13 through 15.
