Montgomery to Host Shredding, Recycling Event Oct. 17
Paper shredding is limited to two banker-type boxes of documents per vehicle.

Montgomery officials will offer free paper shredding during the village’s next monthly recycling event set for Saturday, Oct. 17.
Paper shredding, along with other recycling opportunities typically available on the third Saturday of each month, will be available from 9 a.m. to noon at 10 Civic Center Ave., in front of the Montgomery Police Department.
Paper shredding is limited to two banker-type boxes of documents per vehicle. Staples are fine but participants should remove any binder clips and rubber bands.

Electronics (anything electrical that plugs in), appliances, all types of batteries, and metal can also be dropped off during the event.
Coordinators note that tube TVs, paint, fluorescent light bulbs, car fluids and tires will not be accepted during the recycling event.
