Montgomery Man Charged In Yorkville Burglary Case

Police say he burglarized a bait shop and caused "a large amount of damage" inside.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A Montgomery man was charged with burglary in late September for a June burglary, according to a release from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities accuse David Kur, 30, of the 200 block of Jefferson Street, of burglarizing the Wiggly Worm bait shop. The release says sheriff's deputies responded to the bait shop in the Silver Springs State Park at 14400 Fox Rd. in Yorkville that day.

"A large amount of damage was done to the shop," and there were "numerous items stolen," the release says.

An investigation led to the arrest of Kur, who has been charged with felony burglary and felony criminal damage to property.

Kur was arrested on Sept. 25 and issued a $25,000 bond with 10 percent to apply. He posted bond and was released pending a court date.
