Offender Breaks Phone, Victim Drives to Courthouse to Report Battery: Sheriff

Domestic battery

Nicole Devin Poole, 23, of the 0-99 block of Pueblo Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. at her residence and charged with domestic battery, said the Sheriff’s office.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Sebastian Lee Kokes, 18, of the 100 block of Blackberry Court, Yorkville, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Tealwood Road, Oswego, and charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle, said the Sheriff’s office.

Domestic battery, criminal damage to property, interfering with reporting of a domestic battery

Laura Lyn Simmons, 32, of the 0-99 block of Timberview Lane, Yorkville, was arrested at 2:05 p.m. at her residence and charged with domestic battery after she battered her boyfriend. She broke his cell phone, causing him to drive to the Kendall County Courthouse to make a report of the incident. She was subsequently charged with criminal damage to property and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery.

Monday, Nov. 18

Stolen motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a stolen motor vehicle that occurred between 12 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 18 on West Highpoint Road, Yorkville. A semi-tractor was stolen from the driveway of the residence.

Possession of drug equipment, cannabis

Chase Edward Johnston, 23, of the 8000 block of Galena Road, Bristol, was arrested at 11:50 p.m. at Route 30 and Briarcliff Road and charged with the possession of drug equipment and cannabis after he was stopped for a moving and equipment violation, said the Sheriff’s office.

Burglary to motor vehicle

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a burglary to a motor vehicle that occurred at an unknown time in the 0-99 block of Fox Glen Court, Yorkville. Someone entered an unlocked vehicle on a driveway and stole several items totaling approximately $475.

Residential burglary

Sheriff’s deputies took a report for a residential burglary that had occurred at an earlier, unknown time. An undisclosed amount of items may have been taken from the residence and there was also reported damage to one of the doors of the residence.
