Parkway Tree Pruning Begins This Month
The pruning is being performed to improve the long-term health and appearance of the trees, as well as eliminate low hanging branches that may be hit by passing vehicles.

Montgomery Public Works Department officials will be conducting parkway tree pruning in the Fairfield Way and Foxmoor subdivisions, early February through mid-March.
The pruning is being performed to improve the long-term health and appearance of the trees, as well as eliminate low hanging branches that may be hit by passing vehicles. Crews will be supervised by an Illinois Certified Arborist on staff with the department, and will perform pruning operations to the latest national standards.

Be advised that any decorations not removed prior to pruning efforts will be removed by pruning crews who are not responsible for damage to or replacing any decorations. In addition, refrain from parking under the parkway trees so as to provide access to the crews. All debris resulting from their pruning activity will be removed by pruning crews.
