Pregnant Woman Stabbed Multiple Times In IL; Search On For Suspect: Police

Police are asking for the public's help to find the man they believe was involved with stabbing a pregnant woman Saturday morning.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A pregnant woman was stabbed multiple times Saturday in Montgomery — and now, police are asking for the public's help in finding the man believed to be involved with the attack.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, the incident took place at about 8:30 a.m. at a home on Jericho Road on the west side of Montgomery. The woman, who sustained multiple stab wounds, and her unborn child, remain at Rush Copley Medical Center in critical, but stable, condition, police said.

The Montgomery Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Ricardo Perez-Fuentes, a Hispanic male, 39, with dark hair, between 5-feet, 4-inches and 5-feet, 6 inches tall, and about 190 lbs., police said.

Perez-Fuentes was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark-colored jacket. He fled the scene in an unknown manner and remains at large, police said.

"If you see this individual, please do not approach him; he may be armed," police said.
