Residents of the Lakewood Creek subdivision were surprised to see at least a half a dozen police cars in their neighborhood Tuesday night.
Montgomery Police responded to the scene at about 8:10 p.m. for a call of bones being found near the bridge over Concord Drive, said Police spokesman Detective Sgt. Jeff Ricedorf.
The Kendall County Coroner's office examined the bones and later determined them to be the carcass of a small four-legged animal, Ricedorf said.
