A Cubs flag and flagpole were stolen from the front of a residence sometime overnight in the first block of Amesbury Road, according to reports.

Lied W. Otto, 35, 56 Fernwood Road, Montgomery, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after police found a small plastic bag containing a white powder substance believed to be cocaine on him during a traffic stop at 12:46 a.m. at Fernwood and Woodridge roads, according to reports. Otto was also arrested for speeding 40 or miles an hour above the speed limit, police said.

Tony W. Hughes, 48, 38 Afton Drive, Montgomery, was charged with battery at 8:50 p.m. at his residence, according to reports.
