There is always plenty happening in Oswego 308.
Superintendent Matthew Wendt created a list of 35 priorities that he wanted to address and work with when he came to the district.
Now, Wendt said, “35 priorities have been sandwiched down to 17,” in his most updated list for April, which he will be addressing with all building principals on Friday.

“In a perfect world I’d like to say there’s only 17 left and we’d be done,” said Wendt. “But we have a number of points still.”
Wendt said the school has received over 5,000 responses of issues that staff, parents and the community felt needed addressed through surveys, meetings and committees.

But of those thousands of priorities, Wendt said it was clear that, “Many of the priorities that were identified overlapped.”
Several of the top priorities include:
- Finalize restructuring of teaching and learning department, which includes hiring of directors, assistant directors and coordinators
- Focusing on the District’s and OEA’s school academic support, online courses and dual credit committees
- Finalizing the policy and development advisory committee and finalizing the facilities and growth advisory committee
- Negotiations with OCMA (Oswego Custodial and Maintenance Association)
