Yard Waste Collection Starts Soon In Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, IL — The Village of Montgomery is notifying residents that yard waste collection by DC Recycling begins Monday, April 1. The Village said bundled or bagged brush can be put out each week on your regular trash day for pickup by the service.

While the Village said no stickers are needed, there are a few things to note for yard waste collection:

• Bundled brush must be no more than 4 inches in length.
• Bundled brush must be tied with twine and not wire.
• You can also use trash cans for yard waste, as long as they have 2 handles and are clearly marked Yard Waste or a big X on them.
