NEW LENOX, IL — The consolidated election is set for April 1, and early voting wraps up March 31.
Two seats are up for grabs on the New Lenox Fire Protection District Board of Trustees, with four candidates vying for the spots.
The board of trustees comprises five members, with each elected to a six-year term. The terms are staggered to allow for continuity as the membership changes. The board serves as the District's policymaking body, and is responsible for providing financial oversight.

Running for the seats are incumbents Lori Fischer and Roy "Skip" Minger. They're challenged by W. Brandon Rinker and David J. Popp.

One of the elected trustees had to step down due to personal issues. I was appointed to serve out his remaining term as trustee for the New Lenox Fire Protection District.

Providing the BEST Resorces available for our Firefighters/paramedic's while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Been a self employed business owner in town has provided me skills needed for this job.

Been a life long resident of New Lenox- been involved in community civic clubs - I have a vested interest in the community.
If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?
Provide all the resources needed for the firefighters/paramedics. Long term build a training
facility for them to practice their skills.
What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the handling of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?Live within budget, plan for short and long term capital needs.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I have been involved with the Fire Department "wreaths for Veterans" program for many yrs. I have been a long time member of the New Lenox LIONS Club. I will work HARD to make sure the NLFPD has all the resources needed to provide the level of service that the NEW Lenox residents deserve.
