Fall Kickoff For Scouting In New Lenox Sunday
New Lenox Cub Scout Pack 94 will host the kickoff party to start the Scouts' year.
NEW LENOX, IL — It's Scout season in New Lenox, and Cub Scout Pack 94 is celebrating by hosting a free Fall Kickoff for Scouting event and registration drive from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Hibernia Park, 1664 Eagle Circle in New Lenox.
The event is scheduled to have a D.J. — Assistant Den Leader James Traut will be spinning the tunes — and a number of activities, including a Scout Olympics.
Pack 94 usually does most of its recruiting through schools, but the pandemic has left them largely out of those venues, said Cub Master Mike Drymiller.

There are immediate openings for kindergarten through second-graders, but all children who live in and around the New Lenox area up to and including fifth grade can join, Drymiller said.
Those who wish to register their children for Pack 94 will be able to do so at the event. There is a $100 initial registration fee — payable by cash, check or Venmo — and two seasonal fundraiser commitments.
