Louisiana Accused Attempted Murderer Finally In Will County Jail
A man arrested in Louisiana in connection with a nearby shooting was booked this week into the Will County jail.

WILL COUNTY, IL — A man arrested in Louisiana in connection with a Crystal Lawns home invasion and attempted murder was booked this week into the Will County Jail.
Christopher Gills, 41, was arrested on a Will County warrant for attempted murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault and home invasion — all stemming from an Oct. 28 near-fatal shooting of a 35-year-old woman on Meridian Drive in unincorporated Joliet.
Gills is accused of sneaking into the home of his ex-girlfriend, assaulting her and then shooting her twice, once in the face and once in the abdomen. She survived the attack.

He was taken into custody Dec. 7 in Houma, Louisiana, where he had since been held on a $1 million bail, according to the Herald-News. He was booked into the Will County jail on Wednesday.
