Motorcyclist Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash On Joliet Highway: New Lenox PD

The crash happened at Joliet Highway and Lake Road Saturday night.

NEW LENOX, IL — A motorcyclist was injured Saturday night in a single-vehicle crash on Joliet Highway, New Lenox police said.

The crash happened near the intersection of Joliet Highway and Lake Road, New Lenox Police Chief Micah Nuesse said. The motorcyclist was traveling westbound, and appeared to have been avoiding a pedestrian in the crosswalk when he lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to crash, Nuesse said.

The driver was injured and taken to Silver Cross Hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries was not known Sunday afternoon.

No other further information was available about the driver. No one else was injured.
