Movie Nights In The Village Commons In New Lenox Set To Return June 1

The free movie presentations are scheduled for Wednesday nights through Aug. 10.

NEW LENOX, IL — It's time to dust off the lawn chairs and blankets and get ready for some free, family-friendly entertainment when Movie Nights in the Village Commons returns June 1.

Each Wednesday starting at 8:30 p.m. from June 1 through Aug. 10, families are invited to catch a movie outdoors. The schedule for the movies is as follows:

  • June 1, "Luca"
  • June 8, "Trolls"
  • June 15, "Clifford the Big Red Dog"
  • June 22, "Paw Patrol: The Movie"
  • June 29, "Encanto"
  • July 6, "Space Jam: A New Legacy"
  • July 13, "Spirit Untamed"
  • July 20, "Soul"
  • July 29, "Spider-Man: No Way Home"
  • Aug. 3, "Raya and the Last Dragon"
  • Aug. 10, "The Boss Baby: Family Business"

Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for sale from the New Lenox Community Park District at the concession stand.

Parking will be available on the street surrounding the Village Commons. Additional parking will be available in the south lot of the Village Hall, at Trinity Services and at Old Plank Trail Community Bank. The New Lenox Public Library is open until 8 p.m., and the Village requests that people not park in the library's lot until after 8 p.m.

No smoking is permitted on the Village Commons lawn during Village events, and no pets are permitted in the Village Commons during Village events.
