New Lenox Coalition, Will Co. Health To Hold Narcan Training

The training will be held Feb. 13. in coordination with the Will County Health Department.

NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Safe Community Coalition, in partnership with the Will County Health Department, will hold a free Narcan training on Monday, Feb. 13 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Registration is being handled through Eventbrite. A link to the Zoom videoconference will be sent via email to everyone that registers.

Narcan (Naloxone) is a medicine that blocks the effects of opioids and reverses a drug overdose. The combination of training and having a Narcan Nasal Spray Kit can save a life.

Kathleen Burke PhD, Substance Use Initiatives, Behavioral Health Division, Will County Health Department, will be the presenter for this class. Dr. Burke will also provide everyone in attendance with a Narcan® Nasal Spray Kit, upon completion of the training. Arrangements for the pick-up of the kits will be announced during the Zoom videoconference.
