New Lenox Mom 'Is Always There' For Family, Makes Great Sunday Dinners

NEW LENOX, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is so special because she is always there for me! I know that she will help me through whatever life throws at me. She is always there for her family, her parents, and her siblings whenever they need a shoulder to lean on. When I'm stressed or worried, she knows how to reassure me that everything is okay! After losing many important people to her, she continues to take care of everyone in her life! She takes the time out of her day and weekends to spend it being there for her families and friends. She also spends so much time making Sunday dinners when we all get together each week.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom deserves the spotlight because she deserves more recognition than she receives! She does so so much everyday, whether it be for her own family or for the children and their families that she watches. Not only is she my mom, but she is another motherly figure to those littles when their parents are at work. She does not recieve enough recognition for all the roles she plays and hats she wears!
