Plainfield Man, 21, Killed In Motorcycle Crash On I-80 Sunday: Coroner
The crash happened Sunday afternoon on I-80 westbound, two miles east of Route 30 in New Lenox.
NEW LENOX, IL — A 21-year-old Plainfield man died after crashing his motorcycle on I-80 Sunday afternoon, the Will County Coroner's Office said Monday.
Illinois State Police were called around 1:30 p.m. Sunday to a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on westbound Interstate 80, just east of Route 30 in New Lenox. The driver — identified as Maximo Ortega, of Plainfield — reportedly lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.
