Silver Cross Employee, 69, Chest-Bumped Another Over Pizza, Charged With Battery: New Lenox PD
The incident happened Saturday night. The employees work in different departments, and only one was the pizza's rightful owner, police said.
NEW LENOX, IL — Things got heated over some piping hot pizza at Silver Cross Hospital Saturday, leading to one employee chest-bumping another, according to police reports.
Police were called to the hospital just before 11 p.m. Nov. 15, for a battery complaint. An employee told police that they'd been involved in an altercation with another employee over a pizza order delivered to the hospital.
One employee told police that they'd ordered the pizza with their coworkers, and an employee from another floor—identified as Lindy Bolton, 69, of Robbins—took it.

The pizza's buyer told police they confronted Bolton about taking it. Bolton, they said, "walked toward the elevator with the pizza and made verbal threats to harm" the other employee, according to police.
The complainant called security and stopped the elevator door from closing. Bolton then chest-bumped the other employee, according to police.

The incident was captured on video and witnessed by another employee, police said. The complainant was not injured. Bolton was taken into custody and transported to the New Lenox police department.
He was charged with battery, processed and released.
