St. Mary Catholic School Celebrates Grandparents Day

St. Mary Catholic School in Mokena celebrated Grandparents Day on Sunday, September 8, 2024. This special day, which brought together generations of families, showcased the strong sense of community and shared values that define the St. Mary Catholic School experience.The day began with a beautiful Mass led by St. Mary Parish Pastor, Fr. Dindo Billote. The Mass was filled with moments of reflection and unity as grandparents, parents, and students gathered to give thanks for the love, wisdom, and guidance that grandparents bring to their families. Following the Mass, families had the opportunity to visit the classrooms, meet the dedicated SMS teachers, and get a glimpse of their grandchildren's schoolwork. This open house-style event allowed grandparents to gain insights into their grandchildren's daily school life.

The Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) played a pivotal role in hosting Grandparents Day as they served breakfast and treats to the grandparents and families. Their dedication to making Grandparents Day a success was evident in the smiles and laughter that filled the school.
